The 2nd Amendment was added, (second only to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly), to protect the citizenry from a tyrannical government; not so that hunters and target shooters could play.

What is a tyrannical government?

How about one that would:

bust into a citizen's home without a valid warrant and kidnap a relative of that citizen...

shoot and kill an unarmed woman holding a baby because her husband didn't show up in court...

use tanks and flame throwers to kill 27 women and children citizens because they were too religious...

shoot down one of its own civilian aircraft and lie about it, then mercilessly attack those exposing the truth...

kill witnesses to their illegal activities before they can testify...

control the media so that only one side (their side) of an issue can be put to the people...

Any of these may qualify a person as a cultist but certainly more than one of these would cause us to look at this person as a threat and his family as being in a risk situation that qualified for government interference."
