Here is some data that Phoenicians and others should find informative.

1. Observation of the skies on both Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31 showed a vast difference in the CONtrail phenomenon. On Saturday from 8am to 3pm the planes leaving these sky-wide trails were continuous. There were also planes leaving normal contrails (the kind that "evaporate" behind the plane after a few seconds) but they were a 10:1 minority. By contrast, on Sunday, there were several planes observed, but NONE left the sky-wide CONtrails. All of the planes left normal contrails.

2. On Saturday in Phoenix, was the Parada Del Sol parade, and the Phoenix Open golf tournament. Lots of people outside. On Sunday, virtually everywhere, are people huddled around their indoor TVs, preparing for and watching the Super Bowl.

3. In case you are thinking that the weather was different, here is a table of weather data provided by the NOAA (indirectly).

Notice that the temperature on Sunday was about 6 degrees warmer than on Saturday. The dew point was virtually the same. The window of flight times observed on both days was from 8am to 3pm. The temperature range overlaps greatly with 10am Sunday having the same relevent weather as 12 noon on Saturday.
